After reading this blog about  Rev. Jesse Jackson’s recent attack against Democratic Presidential Nominee, Senator Barack Obama, I must say I am indeed floored, embarrassed and just plain disturbed.

I had no idea Rev. Jesse Jackson fathered a child outside of his marriage! I mean,  He is a REVERAND for goodness sakes! That is not to imply that a Reverend is not capable of making human error; but when you are a reverend who is a good friend of and fellow civil rights activist with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. AND you are a prominent public figure in your own right… it leads me to ask the question… What in the hell were you thinking Rev. Jackson?

I had what I had recently considered to be the honorable experience in meeting Rev. Jackson personally, while at a business convention I attended in Chicago last July and I thought he was the most gentle and distinguished man. I was literally marveled at my being in the mere presence of such a great civil rights leader. Rev. Jackson is among the few leaders the Black community still left. Now, somehow that thought I had of him that warm day in July seems tarnished and that really saddens me.

More importantly, the whole reason Rev. Jackson’s infidelity and ‘dead-beat daddy-ism’ is even a hot topic right now is because he was most recently caught on tape by Fox News (un-surprisingly) stating (in what Rev. Jackson believed to be a private conversation) that he wanted to “cut Obama’s balls off” because he is tired of Obama ‘talking down’ to black folks about black fathers not abandoning their children and accepting responsibility.

Really, Reverend? Cut- his –BALLS- OFF?… Is what you want to do…. to Senator Obama?

If THIS is who you truly are, I have been SORELY misled about you. I honestly may never see you in the same light again and I will certainly never feel the need to proudly show off the above displayed picture to my grandchildren anymore the way I had planned to.

I think I am over you now.
